Course Description

This one day clinic is designed for those individuals new to the use of the carbine, or those looking to refresh their basic skills. This course will stress the basic functions for the safe and effective use of the AR family of carbine.
Students can bring other carbine types; however, the skills covered may not all apply to non-AR type weapons.

Skills Covered (but not limited to)

Basic functions and safety
Basic marksmanship
Loading/unloading
Malfunction clearing
Reloading (tactical, combat)
Weapons transitions

Required Equipment

Carbine (AR configuration preferred) and 3 magazines (min)
400 rounds ammunition for primary weapon
Tactical sling for carbine
Handgun and 3 magazines
200 rounds of pistol ammunition
Holster and magazine pouches for pistol
Eye and ear protection

Recommended Additional Equipment

Magazine pouches or tac vest for carbine magazines

Optical sight (EOtech, Aimpoint, ACOG, etc)
Hat or head covering
Note taking materials (pen and paper)
Personal water supply
Snacks/bag lunch (we do not break from the range for lunch))
Knee and elbow pads
